Fiscal transparency

GovSpending

An independent, nonpartisan tracker of the US national debt and federal spending, drawn entirely from official sources.

Active

“Fiscal data that belongs to the public should be readable by the public, in real time and without a gate.”

GovSpending publishes federal fiscal data — the national debt, receipts against outlays, inflation, labor figures, interest rates, and congressional activity — updated continuously. Every figure comes from the Treasury, the Federal Reserve, the Bureau of Labor Statistics, and Congress.gov, and every dashboard is timestamped so a reader knows exactly how current the number is.

All of it is free to read and download: no subscription, no account, no data vendor. The full dataset exports as CSV or JSON. The project is independent, nonpartisan, and not affiliated with any government agency.
